If you can't drive take some HPD lessons. BMW X3 M40i handling in turns. If you wanna be a wise guy and tailgate people in traffic, you better know how to handle your car. The driver in the coupe was tailgaiting all along until we got thru the tolls and into the turns, and then he fell on his face not knowing how to take a sweeping radius turn.

You got a number of things wrong here. 1) In many states it is NOT illegal to drive in the left lane. For example in Michigan on a 3 lane highway, you can block traffic all you want in the left lane. In Washington you can cruise in the left lane as long as you're going faster than the flow of traffic, which means you can block a whole bunch of others cars also going faster than the flow 2) In your video it is arguable that the van could not move to the right because we had...Middle lane hogs blocking him! You don't talk about that. 3) After you pass, you move into the middle lane, when you should be moving to the rightmost lane. Keep right except to pass means keep to the furthest right lane available, not keep one lane right of the leftmost lane.
That's actually pretty crazy! I'm not sure what your elevation is, but my best is a 12.4@109.8 in stock form (from launch control), and a 12.5@109 consistently. I run about 12.8-13 from idle. Are you above sea level?

Loved my Uniden R7. But i e hoy the bluetiith functionality on my Uniden R4 much bette rand detects around hills and long curces with ease. It's definitely longer range. Just couldn't shell out for a Uniden R8 but i miss the arrows the peace of mind with the arrows is worth the R7 vs the R4. But being used to how to interpret what the Radar is saying has made it easy to tell where the signal comes from even without the arrows. But man has this saved me $$$$$$$$$$$$. Looking for a mount for the motorcycle

is it easy to setup launch control in these vettes and are they consistent in the high 2's ?
It's very easy to set up launch control and yes the acceleration is pretty consistent as long as the tires grip,
For Female viewers who may be a bit timid: I am female and this method was taught to me by a trucker. You dont have to be some boy racer, this is suitable for *everyone*. I have been driving for a long time, and this is the best and easiest way by far. * You will never miss a gear, ever. * *You work in sync with the car as the stick naturally sits between gear 3 & 4. Keep this point in mind.* Practise this repeatedly again again again with the car switched off with the clutch pushed to the floor and held. Eventually it will become automatic for you, so to speak. Its low stress, relaxed and you will never miss a gear, ever. Just practise with the forward gears, select Reverse in whatever way you wish, that is not important. (The only difference with how I was taught is a two-step shift with small pause halfway thru the shift, in the N position, which lessens wear in the selector parts. A trucker would depress the clutch twice but this is unnecessary in a car).
Thank You for the great comment. The difference in the way you were taught is called double clutching. The reason for the pause was that it would enable the gears to align themselves for the shift. The reason you don't need to do that in modern cars is the synchros. However you can still do it and it will make the synchros last a lot longer. Thanks for watching.
@@goodlife777Thank you for your thoughtful reply. You are correct. The old Bedford I drove was not syncro in all gears. However I now dont "double shuffle" (as we say here) as it is not necessary, but have kept the hand technique with the gearstick.

its there as a break in period so your car doesn't break from you flooring it.even at 500 miles it can still explode, so you probably shouldn't abuse it instantly

It won't explode just because you go too hard during the break in period. It's to extend the life of many parts on the car not prevent it from blowing up.
Any engine can 'explode' at any time for a variety of reasons. I agree with what you say, but I just could not resist. Also, next month is the 6 month mark and I already have it set up for a trade in. Going from Carbon Flash Metallic to Red Mist. Thanks for watching 👍
Patrick, you are right. Nothing prevented me from reving past 5500 during break in. Actually, a few times, it did go higher. The reason for adhering to the break in period is if something goes wrong GM can't deny repairs for failure to follow proper break in procedure. Thanks for watching. 👍

I have a JFEGWO, and I can leave it for several months; it still remains nearly fully charged, so the battery won't deplete quickly.

Your 0-60 were a bit slow compared to what bmw claims . Did you have anything additional passengers?
Hey Frank. No other passengers in the car and no extra weight of any kind. I have never really taken the manufacturer's speed/velocity claims on any car too seriously. Also, it also depends on the equipment they are using, the temp when they tested, the tire pressure and a host of other criteria. I will say that the tests in this video were done by accident in Comfort Mode and no launch control was used. We do plan on retesting in Sport Plus and see what happens. over the past year my r4 saved me a few times. my whole family drive fast but even if you dont speed a good detector is worth the money
I definitely agree. For me it's more than just a speeding defense. I always keep it on even when not speeding as it enhances situational awareness. A friend's car was broken into and as he was about to call 911, ka band went off so we just waited and flagged the officer down. Was checking out a property and was in a no standing zone, ka band went off, time to go. Had no front plate on the car, ka arrow pointed forward, pulled into parking area, waited for officer to pass, got back on the road. So many other instances. Thanks for watching.

I am one of those people that will only take their car to the dealer when absolutely necessary. I do my own maintenance even when it's free. So the answer is, no did not get it fixed. Eventually wound up trading the car. The dealership personnel got a good laugh when I showed them.
